Sister Patty Ducharme spoke on the political issues facing workers, bill C-11 the proposed  “whistle blowing” legislation; and the “15 days – 15 ways” campaign by the CLC to make Canada safer for all, but especially for women.  Patty also spoke on the provincial political scene and the PSAC work to improve the position of the NDP in the upcoming election, and addressed the erosion of the provincial public service.  Finally Patty addressed the regional convention of the PSAC in April 2005.

Brother Bob Graves spoke on the good work done by the members of the local during the recent strike, and thanked the regional office of the PSAC for their support during that period.  Finally Bob announced his intent to not run for re-election as RVP at the 2005 convention, as he will be retiring from the public service a short time after that convention, he thanked all those who had helped, and supported him in the years he had held the office.
