As duly elected auditors for this Union local we have reviewed the financial records and supporting documentation supplied to us by your Treasurer Cheryl Fulton.

Ms. Fulton has maintained the "books" in a comprehensive and easy to understand manner. Bank and income statements were complete and appeared to be accurate. Disbursements appeared to be recorded properly and all cheques were accounted for.

That said, we identified two cheques that did not seem to have proper authority: This local sent two observers to the BC PSAC regional conference and both attendees claimed and were reimbursed for expenses. Minutes of last year's AGM do not indicate that we elected/selected any one to carry out this role. We believe that this item should be clarified and, if necessary, vetted by the membership at the AGM.

In a spot check of the membership list, a discrepancy was noted leading us to suspect that membership of the two Pacific GSU locals is confused. No one with a telephone prefix of (250) should appear in the Vancouver listing. We urge the local to reconcile/correct the membership lists at their earliest opportunity.
